About Me
Hi, my name is Sophia Quinn, I’m a mixed-media painter originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. My artistic journey began at a young age but came to light at the age of 20 when I started college in Seattle, Washington, enrolling at Cornish College of the Arts. Those initial years were filled with intensive art courses that sharpened my technical skills and laid the foundation for my artistic pursuits.

Driven by a strong desire for change, I took a leap and transferred my studies to Instituto Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy. Immersed in this historic city, I drew inspiration from its rich surroundings and historical renaissance. Building upon the contemporary technical training I received in Seattle, I explored new conceptual and historical dimensions in my work living in Italy. Traveling the world shifted my artistic perspective and broadened my the range of my creativity.

Over the past four years, divided between Seattle and Florence, my art has become a narrative deeply intertwined with my personal experiences. I've naturally embraced an autobiographical approach, often featuring individuals who I have close relationships with. Through my creations, I aim to craft a visual diary that captures the essence of the life I lead. My primary thematic focus is the documentation of girlhood and lived experience, serving to resonate with broader women's experiences while also documenting my own youth. I expect to push this concept to a wider range of vulnerable topics as I continue my artistic pursuits.
